An annual report was published showing trends in the statistical regions of the United Kingdom (Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, and the Government Office Regions within England). It included a wide range of demographic, social, industrial, and economic statistics.

In 2006, disposable household income per head was above the national average in three regions: East of England (£14,600), London (£16,900) and South East (£15,400). The lowest household incomes per head in 2006 were in the North East (£11,800) and Northern Ireland (£12,000). Household income per head increased at similar rates in all regions between 2005 and 2006.
